The airforce kite team is selected from locals who are always down the beach to help and advise you on the location,sailing zones,kit,or what meals to buy in the pub.All our team riders a real kitesurfers with lots of experience,totally approachable so dont hesistate to ask if you unsure of anything.We have made all the mistakes so you dont have to.

At the beach full time can be found in the blue van with airforce stickers/logos always on hand,always ready to help and advise on kit/problems and the person to speak to regarding booking for lessons.Dont hesitate to ask regarding sailing zones.Iko level 2 senior instructor with masses of experience in teaching all over the world,always happy to advise on any quieries you have regarding,travel,kite repair, equipment selection, or tips and hints on progression.Also has all the demo kit in his van.

Scotty anyone who has been on the scene since the begining knows Scotty he was probably the first kitesurfer in the North West.Scotty set up Airforce kite school in 2002 (officially) as the regions original kite school,not only was it the first locally it was one of the first three in the country,although he only teaches now when it is busy, if the wind is 20knts+ expect to see Scotty out on his nobile t5.Super friendly guy and can answear pretty much any question within reason on anything kite related.Liases with Melvyn and the council on you behalf keeping the beaches with the best possible access for all of us.

George is the man to know at the beach loves fixing and tweaking things.When we first started kitesurfing on the Wirral it was just Dave up at West Kirby being a keen fisherman he had spotted the benifits of leasowe bay so he approached the lifeguards asked if it was ok for us to kite @ Leasowe,Melvyn and George started to kite there closely followed by Dave quickly realising we had found the best kite spot in the North West things led on from there.George knows every inch of this beach and is more than happy to advise you on when and where is best to kite.Also if u kill your kite he can reincarnate it for you.

Dave came from windsurfing and was probably the wirral's first kitesurfer.In the early days Dave was very active in setting up the sailing zones and through his windsurfing background keeping and educating the council on kitesurfing.A real waterman whom was influential on setting up the amazing beaches we have to sail from.He is also the highest level local rider so any advanced technical tricks u need advise on he is your man.

Justin is the latest member of the airforce team.Easy to find wind or no wind u can spot the kitesurf ambulance and his two ridgebacks Max and sasha.If the wind is blowing they will be chasing him through the water.Justin also runs kite trips,to other top kite beaches.
